Thesis Distribution Meeting
Students who are interested in working on a thesis in the Quantum Information Theory group are invited to come to our semestral thesis distribution meeting on Wednesday, 21 December, at 3.30 pm. We will meet in front of HIT K 41.2 and present an overview of current research topics from our group.
New Paper out in CMP
Don’t miss out on our latest CMP paper. We recently derived extensions of the Golden-Thompson inequality to arbitrarily many matrices. We show how spectral pinching and complex interpolation theory can be used to prove matrix inequalities. Such inequalities sharpen our understanding of the laws of quantum mechanics.
New Group Member
We are happy to welcome Gilles Pütz in our group. As of this week Gilles will join us as a PostDoc. Gilles recently completed his PhD in the group of Nicolas Gisin in Geneva and will continue his work on foundations and quantum information in Zurich.
New PhD Student
We are happy to announce that Jinzhao Wang has started in our group as a PhD student this week. All the best for your time in Zurich!
